About PFM Coaching

In 2015, I couldn’t run to the end of my street. A decade later, I’ve crossed over 30 ultra marathon finish lines – including 100-mile races, a 200-mile event, a 6-stage 235-mile ultra, and set a Fastest Known Time on the Limestone Way.

I’m Steven, the coach behind PFM Coaching. That journey taught me something no textbook could: the best training plan is the one that works around your actual life – not the other way around.

My Philosophy: Built for Reality

No rigid templates. No copy-and-paste programmes. I get to know every athlete personally and build plans that adapt when life shifts.

Coaching for Every Starting Line

Whether you’re aiming for your first 5K or tackling a 100-mile ultra, you’ll get evidence-based coaching with genuine human support at every step.

See you on the trails,
Coach Steve

Informed by science, shaped by experience

Over the last decade, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of endurance sports firsthand – the resilience it takes to push through the night, the strategy required to fuel properly, and the psychological tools needed to overcome the inevitable low patches. I bring all of that directly into my coaching: practical, event-tested strategies, not just textbook theory.
