A calm build to the Colchester Half Marathon on Sunday 14 March 2027. 17 weeks, four runs a week with one harder session, and a long run that builds to about 12 miles. By race day you’ll have practised everything you’ll do on the day.
Who it’s for: runners whose longest recent run is 30 to 35 minutes, or who have run a half before and want a calmer build.
What’s inside:
Every session day by day, from Monday 16 November 2026 to race day
Strides, steady blocks, hills and race-effort blocks
Optional pace and heart rate targets
A guide to the Colchester course
A race-day plan, from race morning to recovery
Strength sessions and a session guide
Free 24-page PDF, delivered straight to your inbox.
Want it on your watch? Upgrade to the hosted version (£24) at checkout and I’ll load the full plan into EndoGusto for you. Your £24 includes EndoGusto access for this plan, from up to 2 weeks before it starts until 2 weeks after race day, with nothing else to pay. Sessions are sent straight to your Garmin, COROS or Suunto watch and your runs sync back, so your training stays logged. Polar users get runs synced back and follow sessions in the app. Apple Watch isn’t supported. Includes the PDF.
Hosted plans are set up by hand: you’ll get a link to create your EndoGusto account (use the same email as your order), and I’ll apply your plan within 2 working days. If you buy more than 2 weeks before the plan starts, your access opens 2 weeks before the start date. Your plan is lined up with race day, so if you join after it has started you’ll pick up at the current week. If that’s more than a few weeks in, email me before you start and I’ll tell you whether the plan is still right for you.
Not running 30 minutes yet? Start with the Colchester Half Marathon Newbie Plan. Already running 15 to 20 miles a week and want to chase a time? The Improver Plan is for you.
