INJURED AGAIN? KEEP TRAINING INSTEAD OF STARTING OVER
Online running coaching for 5K to marathon runners whose progress keeps getting interrupted by niggles and injuries
From £85/month · Free call, no pressure
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
- A few good weeks, then a niggle. Then a layoff, then back to the start.
- You are fit enough to run faster, but you can never string together the consistent months that would prove it.
- You are never sure whether to push through a twinge or rest, so you either do too much or lose weeks being cautious.
- Your plan carries on as written whether or not your body, your week or your life agrees with it.
That is the most common reason runners come to me. It is rarely a lack of effort. It is a plan that cannot change when something flares up, and nobody spotting the problem early enough.
HOW I KEEP YOU TRAINING
You don’t know whether to push or rest
The Traffic Light System keeps it simple. Green means go as planned, amber means pay attention and adjust, red means pull back and adapt. You learn what each one looks like for you, and you tell me what you are seeing so we decide together.
Problems get found too late
You complete a short daily check-in covering mood, sleep, soreness and motivation, and your runs upload to Endogusto so I can analyse them. Patterns show up before they become a layoff, and I send a weekly recorded video review.
Your plan doesn’t fit your week
A short weekly form tells me what your week looks like, and when it changes mid-week I change the plan then, not at the end of it. Less intensity, less volume, a shorter test session before we reintroduce harder work.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE
You have an interval session scheduled. During the second interval, you feel discomfort in your knee, and it gets worse as the run goes on. That is red. You drop to an easy effort, which is green, and the discomfort settles. You finish the run easy and leave feedback in the app. If it does not ease when you slow down, you cut the session short and check in with me. I then adjust your schedule so that you adapt early and keep training, instead of taking a long break later.
WHAT IT CAN LOOK LIKE WHEN IT WORKS
Jacqueline Lake came to me in July 2025 returning from a heel injury. Her first run with me was 20 minutes, easy. We built volume without pain, one small step at a time, and the heel has not been mentioned since August 2025.
- Half marathon: 2:01:25 before we started, 1:47:39 in October 2026, nearly 14 minutes faster
- Monthly mileage: 44 miles in July 2025, 150 by January
- She has not missed a scheduled session since May
It’s all down to your coaching so THANK YOU.
Jacqueline Lake, after her first half marathon back
It was not a straight line either. When she raced too much and a long run fell apart, we cut everything back and she chose to skip a race she wanted to run. Nine days later she ran her half marathon personal best. Read Jacqueline’s full story. Every runner is different, and these are their stories rather than promises.
AN HONEST NOTE
I am a running coach, not a physiotherapist. I cannot diagnose or treat an injury, and no coach can promise you will never get one. If something is painful or new, get it checked by a physio or your GP first. What I can do is shape your training around what you are able to do, spot problems early, and adjust before they cost you weeks.
WHAT IT COSTS
Core Coaching for 5K to marathon runners: £85 a month on a 6-month block (£510 in one payment, or split with Klarna, no auto-renewal), or £100 a month as a rolling subscription that renews monthly, with 30 days’ notice. Everything included is on the pricing page.
QUESTIONS
Can you coach me if I am injured right now?
If the injury is new or painful, see a physio or your GP first. Once you are cleared to run, we can build your return around what you are able to do, starting with easy volume and adding one thing at a time.
Will I stop getting injured?
I cannot promise that, and nobody honestly can. What changes is how quickly a niggle is noticed and how early the plan adapts, which is what keeps most runners training instead of losing weeks.
How much time will I need?
Mainly your training time, plus a couple of minutes each day for your wellness check-in and a short weekly form so I know your availability. Planning, adjusting and feedback are handled for you.
Which watches do you support?
Plans sync from Endogusto to Garmin, COROS, Suunto and Wahoo, and your completed runs upload automatically from those and from Polar, Strava and Rouvy. Garmin and COROS are the watches my athletes use. Polar, Strava and Rouvy cannot receive workouts, so you would follow your sessions in the Endogusto app.
How do I stop coaching?
Rolling monthly coaching renews each month until you give 30 days’ notice, and the current month is not refunded. Blocks do not renew automatically and have a 14-day cancellation window, after which they are non-refundable. If life gets in the way you can pause for up to 8 weeks with a medical note, or step down to a lighter plan.
READY TO STOP STARTING OVER?
Book a free, no-pressure call. We will talk through your goals and what keeps getting in the way, and I will tell you honestly how I can help.
